I honestly just buy AMD processors to get them even the tiniest edge in the market but with went Nvidia for GPU cause at the time I was buying Radeon had a pretty shitty time with drivers

I think the issue is this atm. People who bought an Intel processor in the 4th,5th and 6th gen CPUs basically have no reason to upgrade their systems even in the foreseeable future. 4770k for instance in 2013 is still an extremely fast processor that majority of games to this day do not fully utilize. GPUs over the past 4 years have exploded performance-wise and Nvidia beat AMD to the punch releasing a whole new architecture a year before Vega so everyone who bought a 10xx series has no reason to fork over money for another card that will have minimal increases if any at all.... Maybe next gen past Vega, AMD will be viable over the 10xx or Volta.

Currently running Ryzen 7 1700 with a 1080. Although I do regret the lack of a truly competitive AMD GPU to pair with Ryzen.

On a i7 6700k and a 1080. Just upgraded it from a 780ti. I wanna go with AMD and wait but the nearby Christmas sale drew me in.
