So I've been having this problem with my left joycon. I've noticed it when I was playing Mario Oddyssey but I thought it was part of the game or something and dismissed it. Now it's clear there's a problem because when I was playing Bayonetta it caused me to die multiple times.

Basically when I hold the control stick down on the left joycon my character seems to slow down to a walk or stop completely.For instance if I'm using Bayonetta panther within ability and I hold the control stick down, the ability will stop and Bayo will start walking.

I just want to see of anyone else is having this problem and if there's any fixes.

Have you tried recalibrating the control stick?
