Need help switching out my joycon shells left one working great the right one all the buttons registers yet my R button deosnt seem to register on the switch. Yet when I push it it must be working because the lights on the side of the joycon light up. Please help any suggestions would be great.

Check the ribbons for any cracks or breaks

It registers if the buttons light up. Do you mean you don’t hear the click?

I hear the click and the lights on the side of the joycon that slides in the switch also light up when I push the R button. So the R button is working but just doesn’t register while in the switch or out the switch.

The only way I know the switch isn’t registering it is when I try to play rocket league it ask me to push the L and R button to sync and when I do both buttons make the click noise but the R isn’t registering and the switch keeps showing me the right joycon and the release button and telling me to attach it to the switch

Pull the cables on the slide and put them back on.
1 os for lights the other is for charging and connector
