I was hoping to buy it but now I changed my mind. Is the NBA 2k18 port as bad?

The thing is I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a bad port . When ever Nintendo touch sports games they are usually rubbish . My nephew had smack down vs raw on the wii and it was awful . He had the latest fifa and it was awful . Leave the sports games to PlayStation and Xbox and use the switch for what it’s good for like adventure games etc
