if you have never used linux before you might want to stick to a newbie friendly version of ubuntu. i personally really like lubuntu, but you can look into the other flavors of ubuntu

Mint is very similar to Windows. Definitely linux but the gui is in the same style

I've heard elementary os is supposed to be similar to *dry heave* macos. It was still in beta last time I used it though and it wouldn't work right. That was a few years ago so maybe bugs are fixed if you're used to a mac os
