Looking for a good Linux Distro. I never used Linux but wouldn't mind learning it.

Is Ubuntu the easiest/best for beginners? Or just overall?

Ubuntu is fine for beginners, you may want to go with Kubuntu for the KDE desktop which will look and feel a bit more like what you're already used to
