Get a Rex it's all in preference and everyone will give you a different answer depending on what fits their personal needs in the game. Get both.

I honestly would prefer the spinos. Gigas are cool and all but it just takes one guy outside of your gates with a good rifle to send it into rage mod and next thing you know everything has been massacred by it my old tribe lost most of our tames that way
