There comes a time in every gamer's life, when their virus dam fills to the brink and they must reach for the back pocket, to unconditionally fork out cash every month for the rest of their lives.

My time is now.
What's everybody's preferred anti-virus software and why?

Many providers in the US bundle with their services an anti virus program... normally it's McAfee but not always.
Along with that, if you have a job, or go to school, many of those provide anti virus...
This is because if your connecting to their networks, they do not want your virus wasting their resources or infecting their infrastructure...
May look into those options...
I swore by Norton for a long time, until I let it expire for a week, and in that week acquired a mbr virus that should have been caught by the virus definitions already installed...
Norton was able to clean an infected pc without having to reformat and install the os once for me back when win 95 was used... stoned empire monkey boot virus...
