So I’ve been looking up comparison videos between Ultra and High settings and I’m completely baffled, there’s not a huge difference so why do Ultra settings still exist lol! What I also don’t understand is that why do developers mainly optimized their games on High settings than Ultra?

They optimise high because that's the settings that will be played the most as we don't all go spend 6k on a build. Surprisingly most pc gamers arnt extreme elites that have to get 200 fps with anisotropic filtering on 16x.

that's why i personally do 1440p high - ultra mix on my 1060 6gb OCed now.

because when you can already max out 144fps on ultra, why the fuck would i go down to high? Doesn't matter how minimal the improvement is, it's still an improvement
