No 100% lie.
The unit doesnt get that hot to melt itself.
The bends are factory defect or people being to ruff in handheld mode and bending the systems

Mmm I think it's more of a case-by-case thing since I've had mine since launch and haven't had a problem.

I’ve had my switch since day one it’s docked 99.9% of the time and it isn’t bent at all.

Mine seems fine. I feel like it’s more of a manufacturing issue than anything. Possibly because of the material they used. If you’re concerned, take two pennies and put them in your dock to seperate it a little. Then use nickels after a day or so. Like this:

Have played mine 90% in docked mode and is not bent at all.
