8100 coming from a ryzen "fanboy"... apparently the 8100 is superior in this case

i3 8100
(+) Superior IPC, so it's better in gaming
(+) Faster single and multithread score
(-) budget H310 mobo isn't out yet
(-) locked for overclocking
(-) shit intel stock cooler

R3 1200
(+) Wraith stealth, a better stock cooler than intel
(+) Unlocked for overclocking, you don't need X370 to OC, B350 is already capable
(+) AM4 is supported till 2019-2020, so if you want to upgrade to raven ridge APU, or pinnacle ridge Ryzen refresh, you don't need to change the mobo
(-) slower IPC, so in some games, it will give you lower fps compared to i3 8100
(-) slower single and multithread score

kinda hard to choose, simply because if you're buying one of those, you gonna pair it with a GTX 1060 or below, those processor won't bottleneck the Graphics card and will produce similar fps
