I had to try to log on like 5 times, but then I finally got in, it downloaded, no harm done. It wasn't actually a big deal. I still had the game by 10pm last night.

I checked the eShop before going to bed Thursday night and noticed that Splatoon 2 was on there as a new release, but when I clicked on Proceed to Purchase I got an error message, then couldn't get the eShop to load at all. I'm not actually going to buy it right away, I just wanted to see if it would actually let me buy it hours before midnight. Apparently nope.
