Iirc a ramdisk is a partition set in your system memory. I once made a 70GB ramdisk on a workstation for instant game loads just for giggles. GTA V still took way to long. No idea why windows would do this. Post a screenshot of your disk manager, maybe that'll have a hint.

You have to uninstall ramdisk from programs and features to disable it completely, otherwise it's there when you reboot. Pain in the ass software.
