This was after a final where Germany took on France and lost. France’s Antoine Griezmann also tied for the Golden Boot with Spain’s Isco.
EA Sports actually has a great track record with its predictions. In Brazil 2014, it predicted Germany to win (despite a European team never winning a World Cup on South American soil) and before that, it successfully had Spain to win the 2010 World Cup.

While odds aren’t quite fixed yet, with the tournament some weeks away, it is thought that Germany and Brazil are currently joint favorites to lift the cup. So if EA’s predictions do end up being accurate then it will be something of a surprise.
