Quick question, I have Asus q code reading cpu temps but does it read package temps or average cpu temps? HW monitor is about 8 to 10 degrees difference. Stress testing reads 60 on q code and hw monitor reads 70 plus. Maximus x hero and i7 8700k 4.7 on all cores

How's the package temp compare to hw monitor? I'm pretty sure that's the package. I'd say whatever is the closest to what you're seeing in hw monitor

I wish my Rog Strix had a readout. I miss that from my old msi board.

This also made me think it was the socket.
