Can't you sit in the front seat of a Tapejara saddle on your own and whistle it towards the Quetz while shooting it with Tranq arrows/ Tranq darts?

I got one with ptera on close following and heaps of parachutes had to jump off parachute shoot quetz reload jump back on ptera and repeat. Got another when he got stuck on a mountain. But i reckon rare flowers so he follows u then lead him into a mountain top trap.

Grapple an argen, use a spy glass, to whistle attack quetz, stop the attack but keep tranqing. Or recruit someone and carry them while they shoot the quetz

Personally i picked up my tamed scorpion with my argent and let the scorpion sting the quetz until its down. Pain in the ass but it works
