I had an i3 3220, paired with a GTX 950, and 8gb of DDR3 RAM, and I put thousands of hours on that thing! (Including games like Fallout 4, GTA V, CIV VI, etc). There's plenty of gaming fun to be had on builds WAY lower than yours.
