I shut mine down daily but idk if it's required or anything. I just do it so my room isn't lit up with my keyboard and led lights on the front.

I see. I just turn my lights off. The only thing I cant turn off manually is my mouse (pretty sure). I use my pc for everything so I usually have a show running when I fall asleep.

It just prolongs life in the components but it's not an issue to leave on

I always shut my pc.. Dont like leaving it on or hibernate..

Even in hibernate mode. It still consumes power. = electricity bill

I usually shut it down because I press the button when I'm done using it. I'll leave it on for days at a time if it's downloading shit though.
