The variation of dialogue appears to be linked to nearby activities. While it appeared that a line referencing the Avengers being on the west coast was removed from Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, IGN has confirmed that it is still there and variations on the dialogue due to nearby activities and/or crimes may cause some players not to hear it.
