Working on a new gaming build. It's time sensitive. It's been about 4 years since I built something. I've done my best to research but I still might be missing things. I'm going to post what I'm planning and where I'm planning on getting it. Could you tell me if see any glaring issues or if you know of a better deal? Or ridiculous bottlenecking due to my incompetence lol?
PROCESSOR:// Intel i7-7700 Kaby Lake (Micro Center $259.99)
MOBO:// ASUS Republic of Gamers Strix Z270E (B&H Video $149.99)
RAM:// 2x8 G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 (Newegg $154.99)
GPU:// EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC (B&H Video $529.99)
PSU:// CORSAIR CX Series CX650 650W (Newegg $59.99)
CASE:// Corsair Carbide Air 540 (B&H Video $119.99)
TOTAL = $1274.94
It feels kind of expensive for everything being last model?

Also technically 7700k isnt last model, was released start of this year, intel didnt see ryzen coming with high core counts, hence the 8700k series coming out late this year. So kinda isnt really last model.

Yeah, I have a 500GB Crucial SSD and a 2 TB storage drive. Kind of a bummer about the 8700k. I need something now or I'd wait for it to be released.

I posted this on another PC Gaming thread as well and they pointed out a couple things. So I changed a few things up. I ended up with i7-7700k, Asus ROG Strix Z270E, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3000mhz, Evga SuperNova 650 G3, Cooler Master Haf 2 Evo, and the Evga GeForce GTX 1080 SC
