For first build I would go for 14s noctua,second build is better performance for gaming and editing

if gaming is your main use for the PC go for Intel- better CPU , better ipc = more fps the i7 8700 is a really good cpu for gaming. but i would better go for the 8700k for now because of the z370 motherboards... if there were cheaper ones with a b360 chipset i would say go for it invest the extra money for the 8700k and a decent cooler and you will be set for more then 4 years of gaming experience
