I got the pal region one only because it kinda matches some of the joy cons that are available. But the NA Snes version has the cool different feeling X and Y buttons so there's that

After going back and forth I decided on the SFC version and love it. I was used to the SNES version but came to view it as a little blah. Other than appearances they are exactly the same. Whichever you get, be sure to do the latest firmware update.

It basically comes down to color and whether you want concave buttons.

Your personal nostalgia bias might play a part as well. Personally I would love the SFC colors with the concave X and Y.

I got the sn30 and it works better then any controller I’ve ever gotten for the switch but you can’t play and charge at the same time...

They're the same, get whichever reminds you of your SNES/Sfamicom

For me it's not the color difference so much as the shape of the ABXY buttons. I like the purple grey ones with the dimples.
