I mean having 50 gold medals don't mean anything if you're not collaborating with your team, sure you might be good 1v1 or even 2v1 but if you guys aren't winning team fights you won't win the match. If you kill a straggler or two 50 times it won't make a difference if your team is down 1 tank that's off getting solo kills while they have to face two tanks.

Medals do not mean squat. Take moira for an example. All she gotta do is touch an enemy once and boom, she has gold kills because she's assisting the team. Just cause you have golds, does not mean you were being a team player.
