This is a legitimate question; why do so many people seem not to understand that when you're on def on an escort map or a hybrid map once the payload is unlocked, you need to actually contest the payload because it stops the payload moving? Like the amount of games I've ended up in games where I'm on def and nobody on my team ever goes anywhere near the payload and the game ends so fast because nobody will ever contest it? Like unless you're a sniper you need to actually make an effort to get near the payload otherwise we are going to lose pretty much instantly because if you contest the payload stalls. Like this should just go without saying I'm so sick of having to seemingly explain common sense to people.

My team was doing really well on Junkertown but they seemed more interested in kills. They kept the enemy away from the payload and I was the only one that got on it to keep it moving. I was Hanzo. It was stupid.

This was just last night for me! As Bastion, I had to keep going into turret form right next to the payload for a couple seconds, then get up and circle it while avoiding Junkrat and 76. Where my tanks at, dammit!?
