Pope announced the date on Twitter, where he posted a picture of the game running on Sony's handheld with the date attached. Unfortunately, Pope didn't say exactly how much the game will cost, but noted that "it should be roughly if not the same as desktop." Currently, Papers, Please is available on Steam for $9.99/£6.99.

in August 2013. A year later, it became available on iOS devices. Although a PlayStation Vita version was also announced in 2014, Pope said there were some issues with the port that had to be resolved before it could happen.

“I do want to do a Vita version, but the thing is there’s a lot of kind of interesting UI challenges to make it work well on Vita: much smaller screen, much smaller hit targets," he told
