OW is great, but new comp seasons have no distinguishing features which I think is a missed opportunity. You should be able to look back at a season and clearly understand what was different and see how each season has tried to improve the experience for everyone. For example:
"Welcome to season X! This season introduces our newest map, Hogwarts, and our newest hero, Goku, to competitive play. This season will also be the first to only feature Mama Hong 2.0 (after her rework in September). A complete list of hero balance changes that we made during the last season will be linked below.
New 16-bit weapons will be available for every hero for 3000 competitive points, find them in the hero gallery. We think these will be a fun addition to the game and we know people have wanted new ways to redeem competitive points for a while.
We also reduced the maximum SR difference between teams, so expect fairer match making but possibly slightly longer queue times."
