I've had a bad time with MSI boards
I'd go with gigabyte or Asus

I LOVE MSI, but if you don't have a budget limit, go for an I9 with this cool board

but the board you picked is an amazing one too, if you aren't looking to custom cooling your vrm heatsink

i9 7980xe or 7940x would be 5-10 year proof, 32 gigs ram would be enough but no money limitation go for 128 but 3900mhz, would wait for a 2080ti, but you can get 1080ti, if you don't custom loop water then get the evga, always evga nvidia gtx 1080ti sc2 hybrid, air and closed loop, also very cool, silent and very oc. and a shit ton of m.2 ssd's samsung only or corsair mp500, slightly faster but way hotter

Evga x299 dark with 7980XE.
Wait new gpu gen when waiting/building over time.
Evga card of choice then, if available a new classy for air or ftw for watercooling.
Good air flow case and like a 360 rad cpu AiO cooling solution

If you have no money limit then why not I9 1080ti sli? Your case will look full with the sli and tbh I'm so much happier than with my 7900x and 1080ti sli than 8700k and 1080ti

If there’s no money limit. Get an i9. These boards are for 8th gen i7 boards.

Also- ASUS. Easiest BIOS I’ve ever used.
