MX150 laptops are not only cheap. But they can play most games above 30fps. And 30 is fine. You don't need 60+fps to enjoy games.

Go MSI, it may cost you a little extra that your budget allows for but in quality it's what you want.

I've got a msi gaming one. Good for old games or very low setting. My laptop died playing the new resident evil

Take a look into used Dell 7000 series. They usually go for that much and have a touch screen. My friend bought a new one with promo codes for a little over 700 (he also used my student discount)

not worth it if that's your only budget. gaming laptops are usually more expensive compared to pc's with similar specs. i'd suggest build a pc instead you'll get more out of your money.

Had one for $1500. Lasted 8 years. Decent, but very limited! Stuck in internal graphics controller, until it died!
