One thing is the prices of copper and processing power. A completely different and more important story is how much energy these cryptocurrencies consume. Right now this bloody hype is consuming more than 31 terawatt-hours per year, which is more than most countries consume...entire countries! Just wasteful in a time where we should look at more sustainable way of living...
