Just got my new cpu cooler, best ways to quickly warm up the paste for an easy removal of my current cooler?

It will only dry out even stronger. Just scrape it off or brush it down.

Warming it up makes it harder to remove. If its hard use a guitar pick or plastic item to remove the bulk of it or use soft tissues to get off as much as you can. Then use 90% alcohol or > , leave it on the CPU for 5min, then use more tissues to remove excess.

i just use paper towel
