I’ve got a 7600k @4.7ghz and a 1080 mini in my rig and I can’t pull a solid 74fps on my 1440p oc’d monitor on ultra. The i5 is running at 98-100%. Guessing I should consider getting a 7700k or what?

I got a 4790k at stock 4.0, never had a game use more than 40 percent cpu. Seems like something else is goin on here

That's weird. I have an i7-6700k OC'd to 4.6 ghz and a GTX 1070. It's usually my GPU that's maxed out, not my CPU. in fact, my CPU stays around 40°C under load.

Pubg is running on my other screen at 2560x1440 and about 85-95 FPS

Pubg is terribly optimized, your fps will get better is they get further into development.

1440p on ultra nets me roughly 80 fps, my specs are 8700k @5.0, 32gbs of ram @ 3600, and a 1080ti @2012, don't upgrade, it's pointless for that game lol
