I've had shit experiences with both, so I personally wouldn't touch either with a 10 ft pole.

I have owned both and Evga. Evga i have owned in the 960/970/1070/1080 , i owned a gaming x 1070 and a strix 960. Imo, the line up would be evga>gaming x>strix.

depends on price and card, would get the msi gaming x if its a 1060 or under, but the strix if its a 1070 or better

I've used both msi and asus and love them both!

Current card is a msi gaming 1080

Never had to RMA a card before.

Anything water cooled really.

The water-cooling is worth the money, trust me. Your temps will drop so low that you can crank the clocks and voltage to the point where it's strictly the voltage degrading the GPU and it won't even be loud. It won't throttle at all. A water-cooled 1080 Ti can boost to 2.1GHz and hold it all day. It's gaming performance is even unmatched with any air cooled card.
