Hey guys, so I'm thinking of doing some upgrades. I got ahold of an Acer Predator monitor 1440 144. I currently have an i5 6600k 1060 6gb set up. I want to upgrade to a 1070 but hold off on the CPU upgrade if I can. Would it be better to just go with both the CPU and GPU upgrade at the same time? Or will a 1070 be fine with my i5?

Your cpu will be fine with the 1070. Pushing more frames on a higher res monitor relies more on the gpu than cpu.

Don't get the 1070 the new gpus are just around the corner the 1060 6gb will serve you well
