hey guys, might anyone know why my ram seems to max itself even though all I have open is chrome and discord?I have 16gb of corsair vengeance ddr4 3000 and its been doing this for a while. :/

Probably Chrome, especially if you have multiple tabs and windows open.

sometimes when I boot it up itll sit at 15% usage, then ill come back in 5 mins and itll be at 90% without touching anything.

If you click the percentage it will put it in order value. Then you can see what else is using the most. Looks like Webbackground is using a bit

Click the memory so it shows usage in heaviest to lightest descending.

Do you have a bunch of chrome extensions? If so, Chrome - settings - advanced - system, uncheck "continue running background apps when Google chrome is closed"

Open windows system settings and check how much RAM is actually displaying. If it isn't showing 16GB, then one of your modules might be faulty?
If so, also check the BIOS if its picking up each individual RAM module. Test each RAM module by plugging them in one by one and see if one might be giving an issue?

And in task manager check the start up tab for programs that you don't need during windows boot. Disable them. This will also reduce the amount of memory needed for boot up.
