Actor James Franco on a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Tommy Wiseau in the film The Disaster Artist. During his acceptance speech, Franco invited Wiseau himself to the stage. Wiseau attempted to grab the microphone before Franco stopped him from speaking, leaving many to wonder what he would have said during the live show in front of millions.

, Wiseau said he would have used his time to say, "If a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place to live." He would have also said, "See The Room, have fun, and enjoy life. The American Dream is alive, and it's real."


Franco, who in addition to starring in it, directed The Disaster Artist. Based on the book of the same name, tells the story of how Wiseau produced the 2003 movie The Room, which is regarded as one of the worst movies ever but now enjoys a cult following. Wiseau said of Franco, "He did such a great job, talking as a director and an actor. I think he make a big effort, which sometimes from the outside is extremely difficult to understand that."
