Has anyone noticed/read/confirmed if the ability mechanics in Splatoon 2 work the same as they did in Splatoon 1? Like, a main ability is 3X as effective as a sub-ability, and multiple sub abilities of the same type give diminishing returns, AND if an item's brand equals a higher chance of getting certain sub-abilities?

Yeah different brands have different trends in abilities. There is a chart out there but I didn't save it. But the shop in the app tells you if you scroll down.

I'm not sure about the first 2 questions but I'm assuming yes on both. Maybe not exact numbers.
