Found Asus GTX 560 ti directcu ii from local facebook group for 20euros. I think this is going to be starting point to build my Windows XP gaming machine. Suggestions for other parts are welcome! I was thinking to go Intel Core 2 Duo processor but not sure what model yeat. What's best motherboard go to at something like 2007/2008 era

Why this card for a windows xp era machine? it is way to new for that. When I think of a windows xp era machine I think of everything between 2001 and 2006. You should use it for retro-ish windows 7 machine with a first gen core i5/i7

Update... I bought Asus p5n-d motherboard and Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33GHz for this project

Keep in mind that this card is absolute power monster. You'll need a big PSU for that.

I have had a couple of 560s.. the direct cu 2 is tough to sli.. i have a buddy who does triple monitor gaming on 2 of them still
