The base game is awesome. Common, heavy metal music playing, ripping demons apart with a chain saw, and splattering their blood everywhere. Oh yeah and a decent story line.

The multiplayer is okay. A bit like a watered down Halo deathmatch. Overall I'd say if you're gonna get it, get in on sale. I didn't think it was worth the full $60

Doom has set a new standard for modern first person shooters by going to the old standards . The multi player is nothing special though

Yes the multiplayer doesn't play like today's shooters. That's the point. It's likely not gonna appeal to those that are used to playing the fps of today like Cod or Halo, etc...

I really want to try it, but I don't want to pay $60 for it, because I am afraid I will hate it, historically, I havent been able to get into FPS other than Metroid Prime.
