Fe and Night in the Woods are both really good indie games I've been playing. They're pretty short, but they're only $20 each.
Fe is 3D puzzle-adventure game. It takes place in a forest, and you play as a wolf-like animal who can befriend other animals by singing to them. The game is in a low poly style that's really simple and almost beautiful.
Night in the Woods is a sidescroller story-oriented game where you play as a 20-year-old who just dropped out of college and got back in her small home town. It's pretty funny, because it makes fun of a lot of day-to-day experiences sorta like a satire.
