Too much in my opinion, it will be fine but all the compound around the edges will dry up like concrete and insulate the edge, I always pull a new gpu apart, clean it all off and just ad a sliver to the shiny part and temps drop by 2-3 degrees c at least but just my experience...

I repaste them too. Usually they have too much and it's put on kinda sloppy

It's funny. I have seen a few posts in these groups by people asking if they should redo their TIM on their new GPUs and the majority always says "OMG Y U DO THAT" "U R GOING TO RUIN A BRAND NEW CARD" " IF IT AIN'T BROKE DON'T FIX IT" And I laugh at the ignorance.

Needs to be thick and gooey for a GPU to make proper contact, CPU thermal paste is not actually meant for GPU's

I actually have a spare AIO in the closet so i spent $30 for the nzxt g12 bracket

Gonna set it up on this 1080 and see how it is

All you people saying it's too much need to do some research. Especially when it comes to gpu's you can't have too much (within reason of course)

Ben Stopp this is the idle temp of the card before attaching the g12
