So last night I did a server transfer and then transferred back to my server, when I came back all my dinos and structures were no longer mine. Is this normal? My understanding was that I should be able to keep my stuff if I leave and come back...

You should try logging out than load back in

when returning back to a server you have set roots on you will be temp blue named with your tribe give it a bit for the server to catch up i deal with it all the time on my server cluster
