So I've just bought the disk version and started playing single player. Anyone got any tips for starting out? Crafting? Taming? Etc

Eww single player! Come get started on a server.
Preferably not official though.

Tips are, always aim to make a bed first. Then aim to tame a pterradon, go from there.

Don't go to official. Not until you understand the game, or all the wanna be alphas will troll you until you quit. Don't trust anyone on officials.

Play on a dedicated server or pc host. Most are friendly over there and will help you out along the way

Make bed.
Tame army of dodos.
Pump melee damage.
Take on a giga with said army of dodos.

Get a mic and tribe up with someone from an unofficial Pc server. They are usually boosted so you'll get to learn a lot quickly. I would say watch YouTube videos but they are generally very long

Get a berry farmer and make more narcotics than you think you'll need

Build ur basic thatch hut and make a million cloth hats. Tame a trike for berries dodos and diloa for eggs get a farm up asap

My advice would be to walk over to your PS4, hit eject, take out the disc, put it in its case, and return it.

Edit** this is because that game will take over your life

Step 2 bring the game back
Step 3 get your money back

Step1 run from naked people
Step2 if u se dino run fast as u can
Step3 break your controller

Lots and lots of gunpowder and narcotics.... no matter how much you think you have, you will run out.

Tame some dilos like a bunch of them they will protect you early game while your setting up

You feed T-Rex's wild berries- but you have to sneak up on it! so damn easy with no armor on, that makes noises!
