So grabbed arms a few weeks ago. Was able to use the thumbs up grip for actual punching to punch style play. I go to play tonight and it will only recognize the sideways controller mode. What Do?

Also, when playing two player do we not both get to use a set of joycons?

Disconnect and reconnect the Joy-Cons.

And yes, you should. Set It up in Controllers from the home screen first.
