Yeah, but Splatoon might not be the best choice for this.

I mean, the point was to make a shooter that wasn't violent or bloody, and making a battle royale game out of it could be hard.

I don't see anything wrong with it. It would be like the regular game except the one with a certain number of splats wins. Not that hard to implement

It would have to have a small number of players though due to the fact that there would be so many colors to keep track of / get in the way. People forget that Splatoon is a very unique shooter.
