Yeah but that also takes away the co-op ability of the controllers. I've never had any problems or noticed really the the left isn't a "d-pad".

Did you have problems with the right joycon shell not fitting properly? I ordered 3 different casings from amazon and the left joycon fit perfectly while the right one always bowed out. It’s like they didn’t take into account all the extra stuff that goes in the right joycon.
