Ok. So I though that the Intel's i7 processors/AMD's1800x processors are the best to buy but yet I see processors like Xeons that have up to 18 cores...
So are they better or....?

for media production purposes they excel however as a consumer in the residential/gaming community rarely would you utilize such cores.

Used intel xeon E3 1270 over i5 3470, damn thats not good. Same with E3 1225. its like youre using i5 2500

Xeons have low core freqs so no. And you won't need any more than 8 cores
