Ok so a NOoBy question here. Whats the difference between, Ragnarok, The Island and The Center?

One is ragnarok one is the center and one is the island

You start on the island, survive and beat the bosses there then ascend to the center then survive and beat the bosses there then ascend to Ragnarok and survive and beat the bosses there. Different environments is all it really is
