I totally agree, I've completely stopped playing big games and have been having fun with the Nindies, most of which are short and sweet.
My favorites are Blossom Tales, Cat Quest, I and Me, and Shantae.

I don't think it counts as an indie game anymore because of its growth, but Binding of Isaac. Played since it was a flash game and have put well over 1k hours into it. To this day I still play it regularly
