A 6-8th gen i5 ultrabook would be fine. Asus, dell, lenovo all these brands are pretty much ok.

I'd look at an AMD Ryzen based laptop becuase it has pretty powerful integrated graphics and cpu power similar to the one of i5 and will produce less heat than a solution with i5 and a dedicated card

Asus would be my pick. Acer have good products but consider that the only thing that manufacturers make in a laptop is the Motherboard. Now compare ASUS to Acer. Also ASUS's support website is far better.
Asus offer better software as well (ATK, SMART GESTURE)
Acer 7700hq + GTX 1050 often have that issue where they lag on Windows 10 1709
