Comic book legend Stan Lee has passed away at 95 years of age. He was the co-founder and editor-in-chief at Marvel Comics and responsible for the co-creation of many well-known superheroes such as Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and X-Men.

The loss of Lee is rather significant to the video game industry as his creations have been transformed into more than 100 video games over the past 36 years. His characters first graced Nintendo's systems way back in the late 1980s with the appearance of the X-Men series on the NES. A year later, the famous web-slinger made his way onto the Game Boy.
